Alrighty now I got hit by the av.exe virus and it pretty much killed a majority of my PC (Using a dif PC atm)

I have good news and bad news

Good News = I restored everything to almost original state

Bad News = The virus is still on my comp and can't use the internet or it activates again

SO heres the favor, can someone download the Spybot Search and Destroy Installer send it via attachment to this post if its small enough OR send it via email to

hadaimagis@hotmail.com

This is one bad friggin virus and I need help when Titan or Flapjack get home I'll ask them for it, but right after it installs and updates I need to disconnect the internet again so I'll be on Xbox Live

If anyone needs me my Gamertag on Live is HadaiMagis

Yeah Hadai got slapped with the Virut virus. I tried looking up how to get rid of it and I only found post saying it can't be removed so help if you can.

Alright I have good news and bad news still

I solved the Virut Virus and the AV.exe Virus and the several dozen others that were put on my PC by the AV.exe

Now I'm at the final steps...

Getting it out of my registry... I have RegRun searching for the following

AV.exe
Virut.exe
TROMALWORM.bat

In my registry and it found the 3 now I can't use my internet until I can get rid of them for good... It should be fixed in about 2-3 more days considering that if I mess up one thing in this registry portion I f**k my internet over for good <_<

I'll be researching for what the original Registrys are for IEXPLORER and Firefox, if anyone can post what their registry says for the entire FireFox or IEXPLORER it would help greatly

Use Chrome as a browser man, and don't download those..."videos". Streaming is better. Smiley

You want to know what sucks?

This virus was from 2 locations back to back

First it was from MSN/Windows Live with that damn spam bot that some people end up with that sends a random link

The second was from thepiratebay Sad]

Virus hit again and this time I confirmed its hidden within Thepiratebay in a Java Application in the Ads and in those MSN Spam Bots

Virus once again completely removed, this time with minimal effort instead of a whole week

I'll stay away from Piratebay then, if it's this easy to catch a virus. I don't have any condoms.

No comment, but I shall do the same, especially with viruses of this grade... Although Win7 doesn't even allow me to start any programs other than browsers and some games without administrative permission.
